Salt Lake Unemployment Rate Lowest Among Large Metropolitian Areas

In January 2017 the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, which includes Salt Lake and Tooele counties, had the lowest unemployment rate among large metropolitan areas in the United States at 3 percent. The Bureau of Labor Statistics performed this comparative analysis with large areas defined as those "with a 2010 Census population of 1 million or more."
