In June, International Academies of Emergency Dispatch purchased the former Deseret News building at 30 E. 100 South in Salt Lake City. In the months since, it has transformed six floors into offices, break rooms and meeting space for 110 of the company's employees. IAED plans to lease remaining space to other businesses.
The company sets protocol, trains dispatchers and develops software for medical, police and fire emergency dispatch systems worldwide. Its rapid growth necessitated expansion from a leased space to the new building, company officials have said. Salt Lake Tribune
