Murray-based Sizzling Platter is bringing 16 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants to the Wasatch Front, the first eateries of the brand to open in the Utah marketplace as it moves westward.
Three restaurants are scheduled to open next year at unspecified locations, and the remainder by 2018.
"We are excited to expand Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence [to] Salt Lake City and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Mitchell Lowe, Sizzling Platter’s general counsel and vice president of development. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the years to come."
Sizzling Platter CEO Ted Morton said the 16 planned restaurants will be operated by a company subsidiary, Sizzling Donuts, formed in February. Salt Lake Tribune
