Leaving on a jet plane? If so, plan to arrive early at the Salt Lake City International Airport so you can try Vino Volo Ale House, a new concept that brings together Utah’s Squatter’s Pub Brewery and Vino Volo, a boutique wine shop located in 13 airports across the country.
"It’s the perfect marriage of the wine world and the beer world," said Squatters co-owner Jeff Polychronis.
Customers at Vino Volo Ale House, located in Terminal 2, can purchased several different artisan beers made in Utah — not just Squatters — as well as wine by the bottle, glass and in tasting "flights." Breakfast is available anytime, along with a lunch and dinner menu.
Liquor laws are different at the airport, so the Ale House is one of the only places in Utah to get an alcoholic drink at 8 a.m., Polychronis said.
Squatters also still operates its 12-year-old pub at the airport. Salt Lake Tribune
