Visit Salt Lake attracts 100,000th Facebook fan

Just 15 months ago, Visit Salt Lake had only 3,500 Facebook fans.

Today, the private, nonprofit operation responsible for the promotion of the Salt Lake area as a convention and travel destination, reports it has reached the 100,000 mark.

"We’ve been able to target a wide audience interested in all the different aspects of what Salt Lake has to offer," President and CEO Scott Beck said in a statement. Salt Lake Tribune
