Salomon USA said Friday it plans to open its first U.S. store in City Creek Center, the new downtown Salt Lake City shopping center opening next month. The store will carry Salomon-branded apparel, shoes, accessories and other so-called soft goods items sold on the Salomon website. Salomon hard goods, which includes skis, boots and other equipment, will still be sold by other, independent retailers.
The company didn’t have an exact opening date for the new store. City Creek Center is scheduled to open for business on March 22, and most of the stores in the 800,000-square-foot center will debut that day, as well. Salt Lake Tribune
