Salt Lake County housing market improving

The 2012 Salt Lake Housing Market report released this week predicted that existing home sales in Salt Lake County will rise roughly 15 percent to more than 12,500 units sold compared to residential sales in 2011. The report, commissioned by the Salt Lake Board of Realtors, also stated that seven in 10 homes sold in Salt Lake County were considered “affordable” to the state’s median household income of $57,000.
