Salt Lake City resorts rank as most affordable ski destinations

Salt Lake City ranks as the most affordable ski destination in North America, according to travel website TripAdvisor. The website's TripIndex Ski feature compares costs of one night's hotel accommodation, a basic ski-rental package, a one-day lift ticket and a burger, fries and bottle of beer at 20 popular ski destinations in the U.S. and Canada. Salt Lake City topped the list of best value ski destinations at just under $239. North Conway, N.H., was close behind at $240. Taos, N.M., was third at $250, followed by Jackson, Wyo., at $284.
