Home sales in the state’s largest housing market rebounded sharply in October from decidedly weak sales a year ago. There were 1,005 homes sold in the Salt Lake Valley, a 34 percent increase over the 752 homes sold in the same month last year, according to the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. And for the first 10 months of this year, there were 9,478 homes sold in Salt Lake County, up 8 percent from the same period a year ago when 8,809 homes were sold. Salt Lake Tribune
