A Marriott hotel could become part of Murray’s skyline, built partially on land now functioning as a parking lot for the Salt Lake County Ice Center. The county is considering declaring about two-thirds of an acre at 5201 S. Murray Park Lane (150 East) as surplus, clearing the way for its sale to developer Dave Kimball, who plans to build a Residence Inn. The County Council on Tuesday scheduled a Nov. 15 public hearing to consider the proposed sale. Salt Lake Tribune
