Salt Lake home prices still falling

Average home prices in Salt Lake City in the past year fell by 2.8 percent and are expected to fall another 4.4 percent in the coming year, according to the Fiserv Case Shiller home price index. Home prices in Salt Lake City are expected to reach their lows in the fourth quarter of 2011 before stabilizing. For the period from 3Q ’07 to 3Q ’10, average home prices in the Salt Lake metro area declined 14.7 percent, the report stated. Deseret News
