In terms of playing host to visitors, this past weekend was one of Salt Lake County’s best since the 2002 Winter Olympics, according to tourism officials. The Outdoor Retailer Winter Market trade show contributed significantly to that assessment by Visit Salt Lake President and CEO Scott Beck, who cited a 19 percent attendance increase that made the show the largest to date. “Projected attendee spending during the four-day show was $19.9 million,” Beck said Thursday.
