UTA lays off 34 employees
The Utah Transit Authority has begun laying off 34 employees. Twenty employees were let go because their positions have been eliminated. Fourteen positions are parts of groups of employees who do the same job, and UTA is shedding one or more jobs in the group. The employees will have to reapply and compete against their co-workers for one of the fewer positions. The Deseret News
