Development prospects at Lake Park business park on West Valley City’s northern boundary will receive a boost with Thursday’s groundbreaking for a midtier, extended-stay Home2 Suites hotel by Hilton Worldwide.
Several large corporations — Discover Financial Services, Verizon, Spillman Technologies — already have been attracted to the park, which has extensive frontage along the 2100 South freeway between Bangerter Highway (3800 West) and 4800 West.
But the arrival of a 79-suite, four-story hotel provides an amenity likely to contribute to more businesses moving to the industrial development, said Brent Garlick, West Valley City’s redevelopment administrator. Salt Lake Tribune
